Wellness and the Power of Play
LETS Play by Symetra
LETS Play is a recurring five-week program developed in partnership with Symetra and the Seattle Kraken, focused on teaching leadership, equity, and teamwork through play.
In 2025, we engaged 75 fourth graders from Lake Hills Elementary in a series of unforgettable experiences—including an inspiring assembly with Jordan Horston on leadership and teamwork, a Jr. Storm basketball clinic, and a field trip to Climate Pledge Arena. To further support the school community, a $10,000 donation was made to Lake Hills Elementary through our partnership with Symetra and the Seattle Kraken.
LETS Play continues to foster confidence, connection, and community—one game at a time.
King County Play Equity Coalition
Alongside Seattle’s other professional sports teams and the Seattle Sports Commission, the Storm helped form the Seattle Alliance—a partnership benefiting the King County Play Equity Coalition (KCPEC). United by a commitment to expanding equity and access in sports and play, the Alliance supports KCPEC’s growth from a grassroots movement into a self‑sustaining organization, paving the way for greater impact and long‑term community change.
As part of this partnership, the Storm participate in KCPEC’s annual Sports Sampling Camp each summer. In 2025, the camp was held at the Rainier Beach Community Center, where the Storm led a half‑day of basketball drills, fun, and community connection.
