Storm Re-Signs Joyner Holmes

6-3 forward returns to Seattle after playing in 29 games in 2023 

SEATTLE — The Seattle Storm today announced forward Joyner Holmes has signed a training camp contract to return to the Storm in 2024. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed. 

Holmes, a 6-3 forward, joined the Storm as a free agent early in the 2023 season, signing with the team on June 9. She played in 29 games with Seattle, averaging 3.2 points and 2.3 rebounds per game while averaging just over 10 minutes a contest.  

Holmes, who was originally drafted 19th overall by the Storm in 2020, is set to begin her fifth WNBA season, playing 84 games with five teams over her career including New York, Las Vegas, Connecticut, and Los Angeles.  

Holmes is spending the 2023-24 offseason playing with Kayseri (Turkey), averaging 12.4 points, 8.4 rebounds. 3.0 assists and 1.4 steals in 14 games so far. She has scored in double-figures in each of her last eight games including posting double-doubles in three of those.
