Storm announces preseason slate and single-game tickets on-sale date

Seattle hosts Phoenix on May 9 before traveling to Los Angeles for closed scrimmage on May 14

SEATTLE — The Seattle Storm today announced a pair of preseason games featuring a home game against Western Conference foe Phoenix on May 9 and a closed scrimmage in Los Angeles on May 14. In addition, single-game tickets to all 21 home games during the 2023 season presented by Symetra—including the Storm preseason game go on sale later this week.

The Storm welcomes Diana TaurasiBrittney Griner, and the rest of the Phoenix Mercury to Climate Pledge Arena to tip-off the preseason slate on Tuesday, May 9, at 7:00 p.m. Seattle then heads to Los Angeles on Sunday, May 14, to face the Sparks in a closed scrimmage for its final tune-up before the season opener on Saturday, May 20.

Tickets for the Storm’s preseason game are included in all Storm 360 Season Ticket Memberships. For non-members, preseason game tickets can be added on to any new or existing mini-plan packages, and are also available now for groups of 10 or more.

The Storm returns prolific scorer and four-time All-Star Jewell Loyd, 2022 All-Defensive Team pick Ezi Magbegor, and Mercedes Russell to the 2023 squad, joined by a talented cast of newcomers including two-time WNBA Champion Sami Whitcomb and defensive standout Kia Nurse.

Seattle tips off the 2023 season with 10 of its first 15 games at home, kicking off the campaign against the defending WNBA Champion Las Vegas Aces on Saturday, May 20 at 12:00 p.m. On Tuesday, May 30, the Storm hosts Breanna Stewart, Courtney Vandersloot and the rest of the New York Liberty at 7:00 p.m.

The highlight of the 2023 regular season comes on Sunday, June 11, as the Seattle Storm retires Sue Bird’s No. 10 to the rafters of Climate Pledge Arena as the team hosts the Washington Mystics at 12:00 p.m.
