Storm announces 2024 theme games

SEATTLE — The Seattle Storm today rolled out its themed game schedule for its home games during the 2024 regular season at Climate Pledge Arena.

The 2024 season tips-off with Opening Night presented by Providence Swedish on Tuesday, May 14, as the Storm hosts the Minnesota Lynx at 7:00 p.m. The Storm begins its 25th season by giving away a unique promotion that night with the first 5,000 fans receiving a commemorative piece of the championship court.

The Storm’s annual Toy Drive game benefiting Seattle Children’s is Saturday, May 25, against the Washington Mystics. Fans are encouraged to bring toys and deposit them in the specially marked receptacles outside of Climate Pledge Arena the night of the game. Additionally, fans can purchase items through an Amazon Wishlist beginning on May 16. Storm center Ezi Magbegor and other players will then deliver the presents to patients at Seattle Children’s Hospital.

A huge fan favorite Pride Night presented by Amazon returns in 2024 as Seattle takes on the Dallas Wings on Saturday, June 29, at 6:00 p.m. A special giveaway is being planned for fans attending the game along with special programming and in-game activations to be announced in early June.

Storm into STEM Kid’s Day presented PacSci—another fan favorite—has been scheduled for Wednesday, July 10, against the defending WNBA champion Las Vegas Aces. Kids from throughout the Puget Sound region are invited to come out and cheer on the Storm while also learning about STEM at various locations throughout Climate Pledge Arena. The day will also feature a special kid’s giveaway and kid-themed programming throughout the day.

Believe in Women Day presented by Symetra has been slated for Sunday, July 14, as the Storm battles the Atlanta Dream at 3:00 p.m. The annual event which has taken place since 2006 honors Seattle-area businesswomen and civic leaders of color, driven by their shared philosophy that women and girls should have the chance to succeed at every level no matter their race, ethnicity, or gender. The 2024 honorees will be announced in mid-June.

The Storm once again partners with the Providence Swedish Cancer Institute for Storm Out Cancer Night on Friday, Aug. 30 vs the New York Liberty. The ninth annual event encourages fans to help raise awareness for cancer research while supporting the Providence Swedish Cancer Institute’s Patient Assistance Fund. In addition, a giveaway is being planned for the game with more information to come!

The 2024 Kicks for Equality game presented by Symetra and supported by Bank of America and BECU takes place on Saturday, Sept. 7, as the Storm takes on the Phoenix Mercury at 6:00 p.m. The night also features the return of Sneakerball, a unique event in the ultra-premium Moët & Chandon Impérial Lounge at Climate Pledge Arena designed to celebrate the convergence of fashion and sneaker culture. Sneakerball invites guests to express their creative fashion sense and pair with their coolest kicks. Fans will also have the chance to bid on player-worn, custom sneakers depicting their respective social justice initiatives designed by artist Breanna Berry.

The Storm closes outs the 2024 regular season with Fan Appreciation Night presented by Coinbase, facing off against the Las Vegas Aves on Tuesday, Sept. 17. The night features prizes, giveaways, a special halftime show and more as Seattle preps for could be a deep playoff run later that week.
