LAST TIME OUT

Seattle dropped an overtime heartbreaker in its last game against the Los Angeles Sparks back on July 10, falling 77-75.

The Storm built a 10-point lead entering the fourth, but Los Angeles opened the final period on a big run to erase the Seattle advantage. Both team’s traded buckets the rest of the quarter with neither team being able to get any significant separation, sending the game into overtime.

Alana Beard knocked down a couple big jumpers in OT to give LA a small cushion throughout the extra period. Seattle had a chance to tie multiple times in its last possession, but couldn’t convert, ultimately falling by two.

Natasha Howard led the way for the Storm with 18 points to go along with a season-high five blocks. Top WNBA scorer Breanna Stewart notched her second straight double-double with 14 points and 13 rebounds.
