The Storm opened the game shooting 56.2% from the field in the first quarter and went on a 13-4 run to enter the second quarter with a six-point lead. Seattle recorded 12 points in the paint during the second quarter and went on a 6-0 run to go into the half up 45-40. The Storm held the Mystics to just 12.5% scoring from beyond the arc in the first half, the second lowest three-point shooting percentage for Washington in a first half so far this season. In the third quarter, Seattle used a 16-5 run to take its biggest lead of the game, up nine points, and forced four Washington turnovers while converting them to five points. The Mystics fought back in the fourth quarter and outscored the Storm in the final 10 minutes to take the 84-79 win.
