SEATTLE — The Seattle Storm announced today the team has waived forward Lauren Manis.
Manis, who was originally selected by Las Vegas in the third round of the 2020 WNBA Draft (#33 overall), was a standout at College of the Holy Cross, averaging 18.6 points and 11.5 rebounds as a senior, while connecting on 46.3 percent of her shots from three-point range. She also became the first men’s or women’s basketball player in school history to record 2,000 career points and 1,000 career rebounds. Manis earned First-Team All-Patriot League honors in each of her last three seasons and made the Patriot League All-Defensive Team as a senior.
