SEATTLE — The Seattle Storm announced today the team was waived guard Arella Guirantes.

Guirantes played nine games for the Storm this season, averaging 1.3 points and 0.7 rebounds in 5.3 minutes per game. Guirantes, a second-round pick by Los Angeles in the 2021 WNBA Draft (No. 22 overall) out of Rutgers University, appeared in 25 games her rookie season with the Sparks, making a pair of starts. After the 2022 season, she represented Puerto Rico at the FIBA World Cup, averaging 18.2 points, 6.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.2 steals per game in six games at the tournament.
