STORM SIGNS TEANA MULDROW TO TRAINING CAMP CONTRACT
Seattle’s 2018 third-round draft pick will return to the team this spring
SEATTLE – The reigning WNBA champion Seattle Storm today announced the signing of Teana Muldrow to a training camp contract.
Muldrow returns to Seattle one year after the team selected her with the 29th overall pick in the 2018 WNBA Draft. She tallied 11 points on four-of-10 shooting – including three made three-point field goals – along with six rebounds and three steals in two preseason games. Muldrow made three appearances with the Storm in the regular season before she was waived on May 30. The 6-foot-1 forward later signed with the Dallas Wings, appearing in a June 22 outing against the Los Angeles Sparks.
The East Orange, N.J. native is currently playing in Israel, averaging 16.5 points, 13.7 rebounds and 1.2 blocks per game while shooting 50.0 percent from the field in 11 games for Maccabi Raanana.
“Teana continues to grow from her WNBA experience last year and is presently playing well in Israel,” said Storm head coach Dan Hughes. “We are excited to have her in camp.”
While at West Virginia University, Muldrow etched her name in the record books with the fourth-most career points (1,819), rebounds (969) and made field goals (676) in program history. She compiled an impressive senior campaign, averaging 18.9 points and 8.6 rebounds per game in 2017-18. One of five finalists for the 2018 Cheryl Miller Award, Muldrow also garnered AP All-America Honorable Mention and All-Big 12 First Team honors.
