Storm Signs Jaylyn Sherrod to Player Development Contract
SEATTLE — The Seattle Storm announced today the signing of Jaylyn Sherrod to the team’s second player development roster spot.
In 10 games with Atlanta this season, the 5-foot-7 guard averaged 2.3 points, 1.1 assists and 0.5 steals. Sherrod previously played for the New York Liberty, where she won the 2024 WNBA championship. Across her three seasons in the league, she has averaged 1.6 points, 0.6 rebounds and 0.6 assists. Earlier this year, Sherrod played in Athletes Unlimited, averaging 9.2 points on 43.4% shooting from the field along with 2.8 assists and 2.5 rebounds per game.
Collegiately, Sherrod was a two-time All-Pac-12 and three-time Pac-12 all-defensive selection at the University of Colorado. She was also a 2024 WBCA and AP All-America honorable mention honoree, averaging 10.6 points, 4.6 assists, 3.1 rebounds and 2.0 steals in her five seasons as a Buffalo.
