Seattle Storm Waives Teana Muldrow and Trio of Rookie Guards

SEATTLE – The Seattle Storm today announced that the team has waived Teana Muldrow, Macy Miller, Presley Hudson and Recee’ Caldwell.

Selected by the Storm with the 29th overall pick in the 2018 WNBA Draft, Muldrow has twice reported to Seattle for training camp. Last season, the 6-foot-1 forward appeared in three regular-season games with the Storm before she was waived on May 30, 2018. In the Storm’s 2019 home preseason game, Muldrow scored five points (2-2 FG) and collected two rebounds vs. the Phoenix Mercury. She logged 10 minutes in the Storm’s preseason finale.

Miller, the Storm’s 2019 third-round selection, appeared in both preseason games. The two-time Summit League Player of the Year led the scoring efforts off the Storm’s bench in its preseason game vs. the Los Angeles Sparks with eight points in 14 minutes.

The winner of the 2019 NCAA three-point competition, Hudson hit a clutch three-point field goal in the Storm’s preseason opener to tie to the Phoenix Mercury with 32.4 seconds remaining. The Central Michigan standout wrapped the Storm’s preseason slate 4-8 from beyond the arc.

Another long-range threat, Caldwell opened the Storm’s preseason slate with 11 points and four assists in 15 minutes, knocking down three of five attempts from deep. The rookie out of the University of California, Berkeley, tallied two points on 1-2 shooting in the Storm’s road preseason game against the Sparks.

The Storm tips off its 20th season on Saturday hosting the Phoenix Mercury at 12:30 p.m. PT at Angel of the Winds Arena in Everett, Wash. Opening Day presented by Swedish will feature a pregame ring ceremony celebrating the third WNBA title in franchise history.
