SEATTLE – The Seattle Storm will celebrate two decades in the Pacific Northwest on Sunday, June 23, for the Storm’s 20^th Anniversary Game presented by Symetra. Selected by fans, the Storm’s 20^th anniversary team will be revealed during halftime of the 4 p.m. game vs. the Indiana Fever. Symetra, the ‘Official Life Insurer of the Seattle Storm,’ will be on hand to distribute limited-edition 20^th season tote bags to the first 3,000 fans in attendance at Alaska Airlines Arena at the University of Washington.

“Celebrating our 20th season is a wonderful mark for this organization and possible because of the incredible fan base and Seattle’s unwavering support of women’s basketball,” said Alisha Valavanis, Storm CEO and General Manager. “As we celebrate our history, we are eager to share this night with our new partner Symetra, who is committed to driving positive social change in our community over the next decade of Storm basketball.”

Earlier this month, fans voted to select 12 players who met at least one of the following qualifications while a member of the Storm: won a WNBA championship; appeared in 100 games; received a postseason award; or led the WNBA in a statistical category. Along with the roster announcement, the Storm will also recognize top moments in franchise history throughout the game with video messages from past Storm legends and coaches.

As announced in April, the Storm and Symetra entered into a 10-year partnership that features branding on the upper left-hand shoulder of the Storm’s jerseys.
