Seattle Storm signs guard Victoria Vivians

SEATTLE — The Seattle Storm announced today the signing of free agent guard Victoria Vivians. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

“We are excited to welcome Victoria to the Storm,” said Storm head coach Noelle Quinn. “She is an effective scorer from the perimeter and brings versatility that will complement the rest of the players on our roster.”

Vivians was the No. 8 overall pick in the 2018 WNBA Draft by Indiana, playing five seasons with the Fever including her rookie campaign under the direction of current Storm assistant coach Pokey Chatman. Over the course of five seasons, Vivians has averaged 7.5 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 1.5 assists per game in 144 career games, starting 78 games and shooting 36% from the field and 31% from three-point range.

Vivians posted career-best numbers during the 2022 season, averaging 9.8 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game while making 30 starts in 35 games. Last year, Vivians eclipsed the 1,000-career point mark with a 17-point performance against the Los Angeles Sparks on July 25.

Vivians is currently playing for Maccabi Bnot Ashdod in Israel’s top league, averaging 18.0 points, 10.8 rebounds, 2.6 assists, and 1.6 steals per game in nine games since joining the team in January.
