Seattle Storm Kicks Off Summer Break With Kids Day Presented By Alaska Airlines

SEATTLE – The Seattle Storm invites families with kids and youth organizations to kick off summer break at Kids Day presented by Alaska Airlines. Join the Storm for the matinee game on Wednesday, July 3, as the defending champions take on the New York Liberty at the University of Washington’s Alaska Airlines Arena.

Beginning at 10 a.m. PT, fans will have the opportunity to partake in fun activities such as a ninja warped wall, airbrush artist, balloonist and much more on the plaza outside Alaska Airlines Arena. Doors will open to the public at 10:30 a.m., with tip-off slated for noon. Doppler, the Storm’s mascot, will participate in a mascot dunk contest at halftime also featuring Cool Bird (Seattle Thunderbirds), Lincoln (Everett Silvertips), Harry (Washington Huskies), Wild Bird (Washington Wild) and Tooth Fairy (Delta Dental).

Following the game, all kids and their chaperones are encouraged to attend a Follow Your Dreams” panel featuring Storm 11-time WNBA All-Star Sue Bird, Storm CEO & GM Alisha Valavanis and special guests from Alaska Airlines. The conversation will begin at 2:15 p.m. in Sections 7-9 in the lower level of Alaska Airlines Arena.

Alaska Airlines, the Official Airline of the Seattle Storm, has partnered with the Storm to donate 2,000 airline miles for each free throw made both at home and on the road – up to one million miles, all benefitting the Alaska Airline Miles for Youth. Follow along online to see how many free throws the Storm make for “Free Throws for the Future”!
