Q13 FOX/JOEtv Set To Broadcast 16 Seattle Storm Games in 2019

SEATTLE – The Seattle Storm today announced the 2019 local broadcast schedule featuring 16 regular-season home games on JOEtv (KZJO ch. 22, Cable 110). On Saturday, May 18 at 3:30 p.m. PT, “A Season to Remember” Storm special will air on Q13 FOX (KCPQ ch. 13). The program, which will re-air on JOEtv at 7 p.m., will recap Seattle’s 2018 WNBA Finals run and include an exclusive interview with 11-time WNBA All-Star Sue Bird.

The Storm returns Sportsradio 950 KJR personality Dick Fain for his 13th season as the play-by-play on-air talent. Color analyst Elise Woodward, who serves as an ESPN and Pac-12 Network analyst and University of Washington women’s basketball on-air talent, returns to the sidelines for her 12th Storm campaign. The longtime Storm broadcast duo will take to the airwaves starting June 4 as Seattle hosts the Minnesota Lynx at 7 p.m. PT on JOEtv.

In addition to the local broadcast, eleven Storm games will be televised nationally, including Seattle’s season opener. The defending champions will welcome the Phoenix Mercury to Everett, Wash. on ABC on Saturday, May 25 at 12:30 p.m. PT. The broadcast will include highlights from the team’s pre-game ring ceremony.

The Storm will again appear on ABC on June 16 at 12:30 p.m. PT in a road clash vs. the Connecticut Sun. ESPN2 will carry three additional Storm away games: a July 23 visit to the Las Vegas Aces prior to the WNBA All-Star Game (7 p.m. PT); an Aug. 14 rematch of the 2018 WNBA Finals vs. the Washington Mystics (5 p.m. PT); and a Sept. 3 showdown with the Phoenix Mercury (7 p.m. PT). In addition to the national broadcast schedule, all Storm road games will be telecast or streamed on a combination of WNBA League Pass, NBATV, Twitter and CBS Sports Network.

New this season, CBS Sports Network will telecast six Storm games, including two home contests also carried locally by JOEtv: June 21 vs. the Los Angeles Sparks, tipping off at 7:30 p.m. PT; and July 12 vs. the Dallas Wings starting at 7:30 p.m. local time.

The 20th season in franchise history gets underway on May 25 vs. Phoenix at Angel of the Winds Arena in Everett, Wash.
