Howard Named WNBA Western Conference Player of the Week

Seattle Storm forward Natasha Howard was named the WNBA Western Conference Player of the Week for her outstanding play in the Storm’s first four games of the 2019 campaign, averaging 19.8 points and 11.0 rebounds per game. 
 
Howard, in her second season with the Storm, tallied 21 points, five steals and grabbed a career-high 16 rebounds in Seattle’s season-opening win over the Phoenix Mercury. She captured 18 points against Minnesota shooting at a 53.3 field goal percentage, securing five rebounds. When the Storm traveled to Atlanta, Howard was able to capitalize with 19 points, 14 rebounds and four assists to help secure the Storm’s first road win of the season against the Dream, 82-66. Howard’s momentum continued in Chicago as she tied her season-high of 21 points and contributed nine rebounds and two assists, shooting at a 56.3 field goal percentage.
 
 The Storm are back home to take on the Minnesota Lynx tomorrow, June 4, at 7 p.m. PT at Angel of the Winds Arena in Everett, Wash.
