SEATTLE – The Seattle Storm today announced that center Markeisha Gatling and guard Angel Goodrich have signed with the franchise.

Gatling, selected 10th overall in the 2014 WNBA Draft by Chicago, was waived by the Sky on June 3, 2015. She played in 29 games in 2014, averaging 3.7 points and 2.4 rebounds per game.

A 2014 graduate of North Carolina State, Gatling set a school single-season record in field goal percentage (.663) and also holds NC State’s all-time record in the same statistic (.628). The Raleigh, NC native earned AP All-America honorable mention honors and was named First Team All-ACC her senior season by averaging 17.4 points and 7.2 rebounds.

Goodrich enters her third season after spending the first two with the Tulsa Shock where she played in 31 games with 16 starts in her rookie season. The 5-4 guard was a finalist for the Naismith Award and Wooden Award and earned First Team All-Big 12 honors in her senior season at Kansas. Her third round selection in 2013 made her the highest drafted Native American in WNBA history.

Both players will join Seattle on Monday, June 8 in Tulsa.

Seattle opens the 2015 season on June 6 vs. Los Angeles and the first 3,000 fans will receive a free Jewell Loyd t-shirt. Storm 360 Memberships, starting at $179, are still available by calling (206) 217-WNBA (9622).
