Fans Encouraged to Purchase Online and Bring to Game; Toiletries Most Needed
SEATTLE – The Seattle Storm today announced it will host a toy drive benefitting Seattle Children’s when it faces the Los Angeles Sparks at KeyArena on Sunday, Sept. 11 at 4 p.m.
With the help of forward Alysha Clark, who regularly visits Seattle Children’s during the season, the Storm will be collecting items at the game and donating them to the hospital. Fans can visit the Wish List on Amazon for available items to purchase.
Among the greatest needs are traveling toiletries – such as toothbrushes, toothpaste and deodorant – and toys for youth such as Crayola Crayons, coloring posters, Lego sets, playing cards and Play-Doh.
Those donating are asked to not wrap items or include action figures with violent themes like guns, knives or swords. Please make sure they are new items, as Seattle Children’s can’t accept used toys or toiletries due to infection control and allergies. This includes stuffed animals that haven’t been played with, unless they have been stored in airtight containers.
Secure the best seats in the house with Storm 360 Memberships, available now, starting at $288, available online or by calling (206) 217-WNBA (9622). For packages and group discounts, please call 206-217-WNBA (9622).
