Seattle-area fans can watch all 32 Storm games on national or local television
SEATTLE — For the second-straight season—and the first in a non-bubble season—local fans can catch every regular-season Seattle Storm game on television. Half of the WNBA defending champs’ games will be broadcast nationally including eight on the ESPN family of networks with the remaining games available in the Puget Sound region on JOEtv (KZJO) presented by Swedish.
“We are grateful to begin our sixth year partnering with JOEtv to broadcast Storm games. This season, we are thrilled to have our home games and to add a majority of our away games to the TV schedule,” said Alisha Valavanis, Storm President and CEO. “We want to ensure fans around the Pacific Northwest can watch their Seattle Storm in action.”
“We’re excited to welcome the WNBA champions back for more games than ever on JOEtv,” said Pam Pearson, SVP/General Manager, Q13 FOX/JOEtv. “As the local home for live sports, we’re proud to continue our partnership with the Storm and will be cheering them on towards another title run.”
The Storm season begins with a pair of nationally-televised games against Las Vegas in a rematch of the 2020 WNBA Finals. ABC will televise Opening Night presented by Swedish at Noon on Saturday, May 15, with ESPN2 broadcasting the second game of the season-opening series with the Aces on Tuesday, May 18, at 7pm.
JOEtv (KZJO Ch. 22, cable 110) will carry 23 Storm games with three games (7/4, 7/7, and 8/18) broadcast on JOEtv partner station Antenna TV (see channel information below). Six Storm games will also be simulcast on CBS Sports Network. JOEtv’s first two broadcasts are the Storm’s first two road game: in Minnesota on Thursday, May 20 and Dallas on Saturday, May 22.
Long-time broadcast duo Dick Fain and Elise Woodward return to call the action on JOEtv. Fain, a Sports Radio 950 KJR personality, enters his 15th season as the play-by-play voice of the Storm, while Woodward, who also serves as an ESPN and Pac-12 Network analyst, begins her 14th season as the color commentator.
Once again, ROOT SPORTS will offer fans a second chance to catch Storm games, re-airing 16 games throughout the season across a five-state region spanning Alaska, Montana, Oregon, Washington and portions of Idaho. This is the third-straight year the Storm has teamed up with ROOT SPORTS to rebroadcast games.
Fans outside the local market can also livestream non-nationally televised games through WNBA League Pass, an incredible bargain at just $16.99 for 80+ WNBA over the course of the season.
