Seattle Storm, Carter Subaru Renew Court Naming Rights Partnership

SEATTLE – The Seattle Storm today announced an exclusive, multi-year partnership with Carter Subaru to extend the home court naming rights for the ‘Official Auto Partner of the Seattle Storm’ during the team’s temporary relocation. Carter Subaru’s logo, plus the logo of its Carbon Neutral project, will appear on both ends of the court near the sideline at Angel of the Winds Arena in Everett, Wash., as well as the University of Washington’s Alaska Airlines Arena.

“Carter Subaru under the leadership of Jen Moran is the longest standing corporate partner of the Storm and we are thrilled to announce the extension,” said Storm CEO and General Manager Alisha Valavanis. “The partnership is centered around bringing the community together and creating a positive impact with our shared platform.”

At both arenas, the Storm will offer free parking to the first 50 fans that carpool in a Subaru. Parking is available near Angel of the Winds Arena in the Snohomish County Parking Garage (Pacific Ave entrance only) and Lot E-12 at the University of Washington.

“We are excited to begin our 10th year as a partner with the 2019 WNBA Champions- the Seattle Storm,” said Jennifer Moran, Executive Manager at Carter Subaru. “Having the opportunity for Carter Subaru to continue this long standing partnership shows our commitment to the team, their fans and our community.”

For the last decade, the Storm and Carter Subaru have partnered to reduce their carbon footprint through the ‘Threes for Trees’ program, planting one tree for every made three-point basket. In its 2018 WNBA championship-winning season, the Storm tallied 375 three-pointers in the regular season and playoffs combined, bringing the ‘Threes for Trees’ 10-year total to 2,432 trees. The trees are planted in the Mountains to Sound Greenway, the scenic byway along the I-90 corridor stretching from Seattle over Snoqualmie Pass into Central Washington.
