Storm Waives Eaton Rydalch, Goodrich, Hollingsworth, Thomas
SEATTLE – The Seattle Storm today announced that Lexi Eaton Rydalch, Angel Goodrich, Quanitra Hollingsworth and Krystal Thomas have been waived.
Earlier this morning, the organization announced that Tiffany Bias has signed with the team, bringing the roster count to 13.
Eaton Rydalch was selected by Seattle in the third round (26th overall) of the 2016 WNBA Draft. A 5-10 guard from Brigham Young University, she ranked fifth in the nation with 24.2 points per game as a senior this past season. She led the Cougars to their first West Coast Conference regular-season title and a third consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance. Named the 2015-16 WCC Player of the Year, Eaton Rydalch became the conference’s all-time leading scorer with 2,535 career points.
Goodrich averaged three points and three assists per game in 2015 as the Storm’s backup point guard. Tallying the first double-double of her career on Sept. 13, 2015 with 12 points and 10 rebounds, Goodrich started five of the 23 games she played in last season. She spent her first two WNBA seasons with the Tulsa Shock.
Acquired through a trade with Washington before the 2015 season, Hollingsworth averaged 3.2 points and 3.6 rebounds in 27 appearances for Seattle last year. She holds career averages of 3.6 points and 3.2 rebounds per game in five WNBA seasons.
Hollingsworth was drafted ninth overall to Minnesota in the 2009 WNBA Draft and traded to New York on May 27, 2011. After missing the 2012 WNBA season due to Turkish National Team commitments, Hollingsworth was acquired by the Mystics on April 15, 2013. She again missed the 2014 season due to Turkish National Team commitments.
Thomas was drafted by the Storm in the third round (36th overall) of the 2011 WNBA Draft, and she played seven games in a Seattle jersey that same season. She then signed a series of seven-day contracts with both Phoenix and Seattle spanning the 2011 and 2012 seasons, logging 29 games with the Mercury in 2012, and appeared in all 34 regular-season games for Phoenix in 2013. Thomas was signed by the Fever prior to the 2014 campaign, where she played in 21 contests.
