SEATTLE – The Seattle Storm will host Pride Night presented by AT&T* on Sunday, June 30 as it faces the Phoenix Mercury at Alaska Airlines Arena at the University of Washington. The game, which tips at 4 p.m. PT on JOEtv, will feature a variety of special giveaways and celebrations.
“Pride month is a beautiful and powerful reminder of all those who have and who continue to fight for equality, inclusion and the recognition that diversity is a great strength in this nation,” said Storm CEO and General Manager Alisha Valavanis. “These core values are at the center of the Seattle Storm and drive the partnership with AT&T. What better way to honor these shared values and the entire LGBTQ+ community than by dedicating a night to celebrate.”
At the conclusion of the Seattle Pride Parade, fans are encouraged to continue the celebration at the Summer Fun Zone presented by Skinny Dipped Almonds. Beginning 90 minutes before tip-off on the plaza outside Alaska Airlines Arena, the Summer Fun Zone provides family-friendly entertainment, including a special Pride-themed face painting station. The Storm will also welcome drag queen Betty Wetter for a special halftime performance.
AT&T will be on hand to give away special Pride tote bags to the first 3,000 fans in attendance. The Storm will also provide rainbow thunderstix for fans to help celebrate and cheer on the Storm as it battles the Mercury. A variety of Pride merchandise, such as Storm-branded tank top, tie-dye flag and stickers, will be available on the concourse and online at the Seattle Storm Team Shop.
Raise the trophy with the Storm with a Storm 360 Membership, package or group experience available online or by calling (206) 217-WNBA (9622). Single-game tickets are available at StormBasketball.com.
