SEATTLE – The Seattle Storm and broadcast partner Q13 FOX/JOEtv today announced a way for fans to experience the best games in franchise history during the WNBA’s ongoing postponement. Beginning May 15, fans can tune into JOEtv each Friday at 6 p.m. PT to relive Seattle Storm Classics Presented by Symetra.

“We are excited to air the Storm Classics and to relive some of the best moments in our franchise history,” said Storm CEO and General Manager Alisha Valavanis. “These games showcase Seattle fans and the community coming together to cheer on and celebrate the journey to championships. We hope they spark joy and a sense of community during these times without live sports.”

“We’re delighted to continue our partnership with the Seattle Storm,” said Pam Pearson, SVP/General Manager, Q13 FOX/JOEtv. “While we all wish we were tipping off the new season, we hope these classic games will help unite local sports fans until it’s safe to gather again in person.”

The Seattle Storm Classics Presented by Symetra will commence with the Storm’s 2018 WNBA title run, starting with Game 1 of the 2018 Semifinals vs. the Phoenix Mercury. Each Friday, Storm veteran play-by-play announcer Dick Fain will be joined by Storm alumni, current players and staff to take fans inside the huddle of the most thrilling moments. This Friday’s Pre-Game Show Presented by Swedish Medical Center will be co-hosted by 2015 Storm No. 1 overall draft pick and two-time All-Star guard Jewell Loyd, who scored 23 points – including the final seven for the Storm – to help Seattle edge the Mercury, 91-87, and take a 1-0 series lead.

The WNBA announced on April 3 that the 2020 training camp and regular season will be postponed as developments continue to emerge around the COVID-19 pandemic. For more information, visit
