SEATTLE – The Seattle Storm’s weekend home games in 2016 will feature family-friendly entertainment, including activities for all ages and all members of the family. Sponsored by National Event Pros, the ‘Summer Fun Zone’ will be active before every Saturday and Sunday game, plus Kids Day on Wednesday, July 20.
On the West Plaza outside of KeyArena, families will find activities to engage in such as face painting, a balloon twister and inflatable toys along with music provided by either Warm 106.9 or KEXP-FM. The ‘Summer Fun Zone’ will be available one hour before doors open, or two hours before tipoff. For the May 22 and Sept. 11 games, Albert Lee Appliance will be using its mobile cooking cart and providing food samples for fans on the Plaza. At the May 26, June 5, June 30, July 15 and Sept. 18 games, Goodwill trucks will be on-site for fans to donate items.
‘Summer Fun Zone’ will begin at Seattle’s home opener on Sunday, May 22 at 4 p.m. against the defending WNBA champion Minnesota Lynx. Opening Night is presented by Swedish Medical Center, the Storm’s new marquee partner. The first 3,000 fans in attendance will receive a free t-shirt.
