SEATTLE – For the third consecutive season, the Seattle Storm and longtime partner BECU will continue to sponsor the “BECU Early Saver Zone,” a general admission seating section for families with kids. The ‘Official Credit Union of the Seattle Storm’ will offer the discounted seating zone at both the Angel of the Winds Arena in Everett, Wash., as well as the University of Washington’s Alaska Airlines Arena.
“For BECU, our real purpose in partnering with the Storm is to foster a sense of community and inclusion, encouraging more families and young people to see our world champion team in action,” said Stephen Black, BECU’s vice president of Brand Strategy. “The values of BECU and the Seattle Storm organization align so well, and when they brought us this idea three years ago, we saw a perfect opportunity to help provide this experience at affordable prices for many who may otherwise not attend.”
Tickets to the “BECU Early Saver Zone” will be priced at $17 for walk-up buyers and just $12 for kids, as well as non-profit and community groups. Including playoffs, nine of the Storm’s final ten home games in their championship 2018 season featured a sold-out “BECU Early Saver Zone.” At each game, BECU also provides the opportunity for 50 youth from organizations such as Special Olympics Washington and Girls on the Run to cheer on the Storm.
Washington’s leading credit union will also continue to present the Honorary Captains Program. Moments before tip-off, four lucky kids meet the Seattle Storm and the visiting team captains at center court for autographs and a picture in front of the Storm crowd.
