General Public On-Sale Opens Today at 10 a.m.
SEATTLE – The Seattle Storm today announced 2016 single-game tickets information. The general public can secure seats starting at 10 a.m., and those who wish to purchase can do so here.
Seattle opens its 2016 home slate at KeyArena on Sunday, May 22 at 4 p.m. PDT vs. the defending WNBA champion Minnesota Lynx. Opening Night is presented by Swedish, the Storm’s new marquee partner. The first 3,000 fans in attendance on May 22 will receive a free t-shirt.
Fans are invited to celebrate Father’s Day with the Storm on June 19, when Seattle hosts Minnesota at 4 p.m. On June 24, the Storm will kick off Seattle Pride weekend against the Connecticut Sun, with tipoff scheduled for 7 p.m. Shoni Schimmel and the Atlanta Dream come to town on June 28 for a 7 p.m. game on Native American Heritage Night. Schimmel, a Pacific Northwest native, is the highest Native American player ever drafted in the WNBA. The Aug. 26 game at 7 p.m. vs. Los Angeles is Breast Health Awareness Night presented by Swedish Cancer Institute. The Storm will host Hoops for Heroes Night on Sept. 11 at 4 p.m. against Los Angeles followed by Fan Appreciation Night for the season finale on Sept. 18 at 4 p.m. against Chicago.
The 2016 WNBA Draft presented by State Farm will be held tonight at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn. ESPN2 will provide coverage and analysis of the first round beginning at 7 p.m. ET, and ESPNU will air coverage of the second and third rounds starting at 8 p.m. The Storm holds the top pick in the draft for the second consecutive year and the fourth time in franchise history after winning the WNBA Draft Lottery presented by State Farm last September.
Earlier today, the Storm announced that the franchise has entered into an exclusive, multi-year deal with Swedish Medical Center. The new agreement designates Swedish as the ‘Official Medical Care Team of the Seattle Storm’ and includes Swedish branding on the Storm’s home and away jerseys. Fans in attendance of tonight’s draft or watching the national broadcast on ESPN2 will get their first look at the 2016 Storm jerseys.
