The “BECU Early Saver Zone” provides discounted general admission for families with kids

SEATTLE – The Seattle Storm has announced a special offer for young fans from longtime partner BECU. Washington’s leading credit union will now become the official sponsor of the “BECU Early Saver Zone,” a new general admission section for families with kids.

“There’s something inspiring about seeing firsthand the talent the Storm players bring to the court. The Early Saver Zone will allow us to share that experience with more local youth this season,” said Stephen Black, BECU’s VP of Marketing. “We are providing a great rate on tickets, just like Early Saver accounts give kids a great interest rate to encourage savings.”

Brand new for the 2017 season, the “BECU Early Saver Zone” will be a discounted section that offers general admission for families with kids. Tickets will be priced at $15 for walk-up buyers and just $10 for kids, as well as non-profit and community groups. Located directly behind the visiting team’s basket, the “BECU Early Saver Zone” saw great success in Seattle’s home opener vs. Indiana on May 14, as it sold out and greatly enhanced the game day atmosphere.

BECU currently has approximately 94,000 members with Early Saver accounts, with a combined balance of nearly $135 million. BECU is committed to financial education, especially for kids and youth. More than 10 years ago, BECU created the “Early Saver” account program to encourage kids to start developing good savings habits. By offering a high interest rate on the first $500 in deposits, early savers see their savings grow monthly.

Seattle returns home on Sunday vs. Washington at KeyArena, with the tipoff set for 4 p.m. PDT. Secure the best seats in the house with Storm 360 Memberships, available now, starting at $180, available online or by calling (206) 217-WNBA (9622). For package and group rates, please call 206-217-WNBA (9622).
