During five years in Houston, Tiffani Johnson became a WNBA fixture. After a six-game stint with Sacramento in 1998, Johnson returned to the league with the Comets in 2000. She would play 150 games there over five years, helping Houston to the 2000 WNBA Championship as the team's starting center. Individually, Johnson's best year was 2002, when she averaged career highs of 6.3 points, 5.4 rebounds and 0.8 blocks per game. Johnson brings good size to the center position and shed around 40 pounds during the 2005-06 off-season before coming to Seattle.
