Seattle Storm and Kaiser Permanente Announce StormFit Basketball Camp and Clinic Dates for 2018 Season

The StormFit basketball clinic series is set to tip off on March 27 at 4:00 p.m. PT  with Storm guard Jewell Loyd

The Seattle Storm and Kaiser Permanente today announced the StormFit basketball camp and clinic dates for the 2018 Storm season.

Kaiser Permanente and the Storm have anchored their community work in promoting an active and healthy lifestyle, and will again partner in 2018 on a basketball fitness program for youth in the Pacific Northwest. Through on-court basketball camps, clinics and community practices, the Storm and Kaiser Permanente will strive to develop lifelong fans of the game while educating participants on the importance of healthy living and fitness.

This partnership includes ‘StormFit Night’ on Aug. 17, 2018. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. PT as the Storm takes on the New York Liberty at KeyArena. The evening, designed to celebrate and promote youth fitness, will include exciting events and activities hosted by Kaiser Permanente.

Storm guard Jewell Loyd will help the two organizations tip off the 2018 clinic series, with the first StormFit Basketball Clinic on March 27 at the Renton Community Center. As part of the StormFit presented by Kaiser Permanente platform, the Storm will also host two community practices that will feature the full Storm roster, including 10-time All-Star Sue Bird and 2016 WNBA Rookie of the Year Breanna Stewart, who will welcome youth on court as they partake in games and contests with Storm players. Attendees will also have the opportunity to participate in Storm practice drills as directed by Storm head coach Dan Hughes. The dates, locations and times of these practices will be announced at a later date.

 

SEATTLE STORM BASKETBALL CAMP

The Seattle Storm Basketball Camp presented by Kaiser Permanente and QBSI is scheduled for Aug. 14-17 at the Hidden Valley Fieldhouse in Bellevue, Wash., and the co-ed camp welcomes children and teens aged 6-17. The camp will begin at 9:00 a.m. PT on Tuesday and conclude at 4:00 p.m. PT on Friday. To register for the camp, CLICK HERE.
