Seattle Storm Announces ‘Carter Subaru Court at KeyArena’

Seattle Opens Home Slate with Defending WNBA Champion Minnesota Lynx Sunday, May 22

SEATTLE – The Seattle Storm today announced an exclusive, multi-year agreement with Carter Subaru for naming rights on its home court at KeyArena. Starting this season, the court will be known as ‘Carter Subaru Court at KeyArena.’ Carter Subaru’s logo, plus the logo of its Carbon Neutral project, will appear on both ends of the court near the sideline.

“We are proud to elevate our strong partnership with Carter Subaru,” said Storm President & GM Alisha Valavanis. “The court naming rights reflect the growth of our extensive partnership, one that centers on the commitment to community impact that we value at the Storm. Carter Subaru is our longest-standing partner, and we are thrilled that will be represented on the court at KeyArena.”

As part of the new agreement, Carter Subaru is now the ‘Official Auto Partner of the Seattle Storm.’ Representatives from Carter Subaru will be present on the West Plaza outside of KeyArena before games, starting with Sunday’s home opener against the defending WNBA champion Minnesota Lynx.

“This is a very special moment for us,” said Jennifer Moran, Executive Manager at Carter Subaru. “Having the opportunity for Carter Subaru to secure the naming rights for the Storm’s home court at KeyArena is not only a way for us to enhance our long-standing partnership, but it’s also a way for us to show our commitment and dedication to the team and its fans.”

In addition to the court’s naming rights, the Storm and Carter Subaru will partner on a ‘Threes for Trees’ initiative for the eighth consecutive season. Carter Subaru will plant one tree in the Mountains to Sound Greenway for every three-point basket made during the 2016 season, adding to the 1,656 trees that Carter Subaru and the Storm have planted the past seven years. The trees are planted in the Mountains to Sound Greenway, the scenic byway along the I-90 corridor stretching from Seattle over Snoqualmie Pass into Central Washington. Together the Storm and Carter Subaru aim to make a difference on the road to Carbon Neutral.
