2011 Seattle Storm Draft Pick Returns to Pacific Northwest
SEATTLE – The Seattle Storm today announced the signing of 6-5 center Krystal Thomas.
Thomas, who was drafted by the Storm in the third round (36th overall) of the 2011 WNBA Draft, played seven games in a Seattle jersey that same season. She then signed a series of seven-day contracts with both Phoenix and Seattle spanning the 2011 and 2012 seasons, logging 29 games with the Mercury in 2012, and appeared in all 34 regular-season games for Phoenix in 2013. Thomas was signed by the Fever prior to the 2014 campaign, when she played in 21 contests.

A 2011 graduate of Duke, Thomas left the Blue Devils with career averages of 6.1 points and 5.8 rebounds. She grabbed 300 rebounds in her senior campaign (2010-11), the third most in Duke single-season history. That same year, she was named the Full Court Press ACC Player of the Year while leading the ACC in rebounds per game with a 9.0 average.
