Seattle Storm Partners with Seattle Pro-Am for July 10 Double-Header

Seattle vs. Phoenix; Seattle Pro-Am Season Opener Set for July 10 at KeyArena

SEATTLE – The Seattle Storm today announced that the franchise will host a double-header with the Seattle Pro-Am following the Storm vs. Phoenix game on July 10 at KeyArena.

“To open up the Seattle Pro-Am league at KeyArena offers us an incredible platform to give back to the Seattle basketball fans who have supported the Storm, the Sonics and the Seattle Pro-Am over the years,” said Storm President & GM Alisha Valavanis. “The night promises to deliver top-caliber basketball and exciting entertainment to Seattle basketball fans.”

The Seattle Pro-Am, typically played at Royal Brougham Pavilion on the campus of Seattle Pacific University with a capacity of 2,650, will be played for one night only at KeyArena, the current home of the Seattle Storm. The move to KeyArena will expand capacity to 9,686 with a sold out lower bowl, opening up the event to more Seattle basketball fans.

“The Seattle Pro-Am is very excited to partner with the Seattle Storm,” said Rashaad Powell, the Seattle Pro-Am commissioner. “I can’t wait to showcase the Seattle Pro-Am basketball talent at KeyArena.”

Fans can expect celebrity special guests throughout the evening, both participating in the Seattle Pro-Am game as well as entertainment at halftime.

Tickets for the event are good for admission to both the Seattle Storm game and the Seattle Pro-Am game, and can be purchased at StormBasketball.com or by calling 206-217-9622 (WNBA).

The Storm game will tip off at 7 p.m., followed by the Seattle Pro-Am, tipping at 10 p.m. Doors to KeyArena will close temporarily from 8 – 9 p.m. to allow for egress of fans, re-opening at 9 p.m. KeyArena’s East Box Office will remain open through halftime of the Seattle Pro-Am game.
